Q : My friend told me that if a toothpaste has a red mark on the crimp..it is chemical based.....If it has Green mark, it is herbal.... I am confused.....

Q: Why manufacturers are adding tobacco substances in toothpaste formulas? Is it good for health?

Answer : It is almost a severe crime if a toothpaste formulation has tobacco substances to claim:Dental community is voicing against it:Tobacco will cause oral cancer.Northern parts of India still believes in tobacco as one of the strong ingredients in toothpaste/toothpowder formulas:
merely for electifying impact for the consumers, tobacco subsatnces are added in it:

Q : Some toothpaste cartons has more images of herbals:what for ?

Answer : If you look into the images,you can almost think of a receipe of a mogul biriyani!Some images of herbals are carminatives and it has no any role in a toothpaste to aid a consumer some herbals are aromatic substances: these images are pulling the consumers close to their brands!

Q : My sister-in-law told me that Triclosan is a must for a good toothpaste.....

Answer : May be your sister-in-law is blind or the leader of a blind school team.....Triclosan has been presented in leading toothpaste(s) in India and there is no proper mechanism to curb them:Triclosan is a chemical to reduce or prevent Bacterial contamination:If a toothpaste contains Triclosan, if anyone using the brand regularly, well your sister-in-law is swallowing poison in a daily basis.

Q : Is it dangerous if a siddha toothpaste contains sorbitol& Glycerine?

Answer : Hue& Cry for the addition of sorbitol & Glycerine in a siddha toothpaste: Sorbitol or better known as corn syrup is derived from either corn or tapiaco Which are agro crops :

Every cough syrup or therapeutic tonics/Antacids has more than 70% sorbitol as Humectants (carrier): Alcoholic beverages like beer has more than 5% of Glycerine. when a person consumes a bottle of beer, forced to consume not less than nearly 25 grams of Glycerine. One cannot (be it infants or adults) avoid the usage of sorbitol, if therapeutic Formulations are prescribed.

Using corn flakes are part & parcel of western people Confecttionary items like Cake, biscuits...chockalates contains sorbitol & glycerine.... When a person consumes larger amount of sorbitol& Glycerine, why he/she cannot gargle it? sorbitol has been added in toothpaste formulations merely for hemuctant( carrier) purpose: Glycerine keeps the toothpaste in wet condition and an effective ingredient to treat Gum disorders
